- Essential cookies keep you signed in and keep Synclo secure. They cannot be switched off.
- Other cookies help us understand usage, remember your preferences and measure campaigns.
- Where the law requires, we ask for your consent before using non-essential cookies.
- You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings.
01Introduction
This policy explains how Synclo uses cookies and similar technologies on our website, platform and related online services. Please read it together with our Privacy Policy.
02What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website or use an online service. They help the site recognise your device and make features work. In this policy, "cookies" also covers similar technologies such as pixels, tags, scripts, local and session storage, software development kits and analytics tools.
03How we use cookies
We use cookies to:
- run our website and platform
- keep sign-in sessions secure and authenticate users
- remember your preferences
- understand usage, monitor performance and fix errors
- improve your experience
- measure our campaigns and support marketing where applicable
04Types of cookies we use
- Essential, session and security cookies. Needed for sign-in, account protection, forms and core features, such as session, authentication and CSRF protection cookies. Without them the site and platform may not work properly.
- Functional and preference cookies. Remember your language, region, time zone, interface settings and workspace preferences. Without them the experience is less personalised, but core features still work.
- Performance and analytics cookies. Measure traffic, page activity and errors so we can improve Synclo.
- Interaction history cookies. Record pages visited, referral sources, campaign parameters, chat interactions and feature use.
- Marketing and advertising cookies. Measure campaign performance, support retargeting and track engagement with promotions.
- Third-party and embedded service cookies. Set by outside providers for analytics, advertising, chat, security or embedded content.
05Third-party cookies
Some cookies are placed by providers that help us with analytics, advertising, customer communication, performance monitoring, security and embedded content. These providers follow their own privacy and cookie practices, which we do not control.
06Cookies inside the Synclo platform
Inside the platform, cookies keep sessions secure, authenticate users, apply preferences, support role-based access, monitor performance, detect errors and help prevent misuse. Some of these are essential for signing in and using core features.
07Managing your choices
You can manage cookies in several ways:
- through a cookie banner or settings tool on our website, where available
- through your browser settings, to delete or block cookies or be asked before they are stored
- Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox and Safari each explain how to do this in their help pages
Blocking some cookies may affect how Synclo works, including security and performance. Where the law requires, we ask for your consent before placing non-essential analytics, marketing or advertising cookies.
08Advertising and analytics opt-outs
Some analytics and advertising providers, such as Google, Meta and LinkedIn, offer their own opt-out tools, and industry bodies such as the Network Advertising Initiative and the Digital Advertising Alliance provide opt-out pages. You can also limit interest-based advertising through your browser, device or network settings. How well these work varies by region, browser, device and provider.
09Do Not Track
There is no common industry standard for "Do Not Track" browser signals, so we do not currently respond to them unless the law requires it. You can still manage cookies through your browser, our preference tools or third-party opt-outs.
10Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our technology, website, platform, providers, legal requirements or practices change. We will update the effective date and may notify users through the website, the app or email.
